Last winter I shared a brew with some German lads at avimore hostel made in an old school percolator (not a mocha pot , a proper cowboy camp fire job) . I've just got hold of one of the percolators and fancy trying to get some of the coffee. However I wrote the brand down but have since lost the scrap of paper. As far as I know it wasn't anything particularly obscure just one of the better brands found in super markets. I have had a look on goggle but could see anything . Any ideas ?

Thanks Jim, looking at pictures on the net I think it could be dallmyr . I should have said , it wasn't one of the big brands that have already made there way over to the UK, but then who would know that. Off to order some . Everyone needs a hobby .

Do they grow coffee in Germany?

Latitude is far too high. But they're neighbours with two of the world's great coffee cultures, the Dutch and the Austrian.

Yep - as a consumer, I would go with that. But they were out of stock in Hazel Grove yesterday.

It's big wide world, who am I to pass judgement on the strange habits and tastes of others . Don't you feel a bit rabid after drinking it.

very nice its is to. Made some with with an aero press while camping in Pembroke a few weeks ago . Top draw.
See, some people like looking at trains and writing the numbers down , does my opinion on how exciting that sounds matter to them ? I think not. I like coffee and coffee making and fiddling on . If some one makes me a coffee that I like then I like to be able to make it. Some people don't get it , hey ho.

Who grow coffee..

In reply to aln:
yes, coffee is grown in other countries but what gets into your pot?
eg the UK 'makes' barely edible bread but we accept it because we value quantity over quality..
