I have just purchased a pair of La Sportiva Trango S Evo Boots. After my third outing of light walking on tracks in the lakes (patella tendonitis recovery) the rand at the apex on the front of the boot has split from top to bottom. Has any one else experienced similar issues with these boots? I am looking to take these back to the shop for a replacement pair hopefully they will replace them as they are quite an expensive boot.
I also had issues with La Sportiva boulder approach shoes, All though these are fantastic for scrambling in, my first pair fell apart with in a week. I got a replacement pair and put them away in my cupboard where they stayed for around a year before I used them. After the fourth time of wearing them I found that the leather had started to split where the crease appears when your foot bends at the front of the shoe.
