VIDEO: Tommy Caldwell: TED Talk - What are you up against?
Tommy Caldwell is a big-wall free climber, over 19 days in early 2015 he completed the first-ever free climb of the Dawn Wall on El Capitan. After being held hostage by militants in his early twenties in the mountains of Kyrgyzstan and then losing his index finger in an accident once back home, Tommy experienced a fair share of hardships before turning to big wall climbing. Tommy's talk here raises an interesting question: why do some people experience post-traumatic growth?
