old rope

Hi,
I was woundering if anyone could donate old rope that would other wise be thrown away.
I climb with a club but i want to practice rope work at home. If anyone could help this would be really aswome cuase im practicing for my Singal pitch award.

For practicing you could get 10 metres of new rope off the spool for about £15, maybe even less. Then you would know a lot more about it's history and could even use it for setting up belays in the future?

To practice at home - and I'm assuming you are not talking about hanging off the stuff - then you only need rope. Any old rope. This can be bought quite cheaply..........etc.,

It is after all just the knots and positions of belays, rigging top ropes etc.,, that is required.

cheers man iv only seen rope instore like 60 meter legnth. ill keep an eye out

Climbing shops will have reels of assorted diameters. Something like 10mm is usually about £1.50 a metre.
