As winter is rearing its lovely head again, I've decided to replace my ailing Berghaus ACL. I want a close fitting base layer, whats good on the market at the moment?

Matalan thermal fleece underwear, about Polartec 75 weight. It is smooth one side, fleecy the other. Wear it fleece side in when it get very cold. I used it in Poland last X'mas. It was -36C!

BTW only £6.00!

In reply to cometworm: yes, i have heard talk that people are tending to go back to wool. Funny, what comes back in. I'm seeing too many Ra-Ra skirts about at the mo, it won't be long until blokes are wearing pastle shade jackets and no socks!
