I'm About to buy a camper converted ford transit connect and I can't find a decent insurance company to insure it as a camper, is it better to insure it as a commercial van or am I just missing the companies that do the job. I've so far tried with Scenic and the NFU.

Any advice/recommendations would be great.

Adrian Flux appears to be the UKC recommended camper insurer.

Not used them myself as I live in France.

Brentacre. Adrian Flux wouldn't accept my no claims.

Get a quote from Shield Total Insurance. My camper insurance is just over £212
38 old with 7 or 8 yrs no claims.

I'm insured with Adrian Flux at the moment, not had to claim but the price has gone down each year

Previously had very good service (and price!) from Frank Pickles, who seem to operate out of an office rather than a call centre and understood and could deal with some more esoteric vehicle modifications

try HIC via just kampers - i have a converted t5 insured with them - seem very understanding as to what a campervan is all about - I found it better to phone them first time just to ensure everything was ok - have renewed with them every year for 5 years since then - premium was just over £200 a year
