Wanting to tackle some climbs worthy of two axes this winter.

Already got 1 new fly (had an alpine pick in it so far and a reverse curved pick in the cupboard).

Orinal plan was to get a old fly on the cheap and mod a pinky rest but im wondering how well a quark or xmonster will pair with my current fly.

Any thoughts?

Surely you'd be best getting another new fly?

Just get another Fly and but with either a hammer or a adze. So you have one of both.

dont imagine i'd need to swap the pick out on a second fly and it wont be hard to jimmy a pinky rest on.

You could try a Singing Rock Bandit. It's a decent climbing tool and only 75 quid.

I picked up a pair fairly recently as a "downgrade" from some grivel monsters as I'm old and broken now so getting rid of aspirational kit.
They have some really positive reviews and feel very much like Quarks in the hand and when swinging. I say downgrade in inverted commas as they are really nice. I don't see me going above grade IV anymore but tbh they'd manage higher.
Can't wait to give them a good punt this winter.
