Despite all the advertising about fit this and fit that on all our mobile devices, my personal experience is that they're awful on the real world. Rain, sweat, knocks, cold, etc. all cause failures. However, if there was a "I'm doing sports, don't interrupt me and don't change anything" mode the device may actually do ok. E.g. My phone recently uninstalled strava while I was out running. Another time it changed my language settings, sometimes it screws up logging my route.

So, does anyone know if there is a total lock out mode for android?

I used to get this cycling with my phone in pocket, screen against my thigh. It seems common sense in the event of a fall but the sweat soon gets the screen working and all hell breaks loose. Point screen away from sweat sources and perhaps some kind of number lock?

Don't all Android phones have a screen lock? All the ones I've owned do.

It's not just locking the phone, it's also disabling any activity not related to recording my run. For example, a mode where the only apps that are allowed to do anything are the sports app and spotify.
