Winter glove recommendations

I'm getting my gear organised for the upcoming winter season in Scotland and I'm looking to get some new gloves. I was intrigued by this article by Andy Kirkpatrick where he describes an OR fingerless glove / mitt combo.Sadly I can't find this particular glove on their website. I like the idea of being able to maintain some dexterity whilst also having warm hands on belays.

Does anyone have any experience of using these types of gloves and any recommendations for some that I could buy?

Ta.

Do you something like that?

I had cheap ones and didn't like the design (not for climbing though). It might be too cold as well and your fingers might get wet, hence the mitt would be fairly useless.

Plus I think a "hidden Magnetic attachment" in your glove would make nav coming off the top "interesting"....

to the OP. Obviously AK knows his stuff about gear and has clocked up more that enough suffering miles to find a system that works for him so no doubt it does. Never tried is so can't recommend any types.

For conventional gloves though, I like BD punishers or specialists - fit me well and work for me. I have a pair of OR synthetic insulated mits that I pull over the top on cold belays though.

cheers,
