What to do with all this junk mail!

I've previously received maybe 3-5 junk emails a week, but in the last few months I've started getting up to 40 a day from the likes of cheap meds, credit cards, loans [all in US$], despite not using my email address for any unsavoury sites. They all get sent to my junk email [Hotmail.com] but now and again I'm expecting an email that is overdue I'll find it in my junk folder which can be a pain to sift through. I'll block all the junk stuff, but 24 hours later I've got another 40 crap emails from similar email addresses [I know they are self-creating addresses], but the really annoying thing now is an email will be sent via my own address to myself, so I can't even block it.

Is there anything else I can do to prevent getting so much crap? I don't want to change my email as I've had this one for 15 years and can't be bothered to change all my email details on every site I use...

At home I have a Arga / rayburn

once got a junk mail card that read --------- W e CAN heat you home cheaper than any one else.

They were right, but they never sent me any more junk to burn
