That's no age to die. Saw him with Motörhead many times, excellent drummer and a classic set of Brit metal albums, esp. Ace of Spades. RIP

An iconic drummer, and a character too.

Nobody who can listen would have missed his skills at drumming.

Hopefully he continued to have a ball after leaving Motorhead.

Had a chat with him once at the bar of Kentish Town Forum whilst watching Ozzy Osborne, a bit of a legend in my eyes. Would have been 1988, Zakk Wylde had just joined Ozzy...Warm up gig for No rest for the Wicked tour.

In reply to wilkie14c: My first ever album was On Parole, my first gig Motorhead at the Crawley Sports Centre in about 1981? Awesome line up, classic albums for the next few years, still play them to this day. RIP Phil Taylor.
