Just in case you missed it...
For the first half hour of the excellent BBC Scotland radio program 'Out of Doors', David 'Heavy' Whalley is interviewed on his life in the mountain rescue. Its a very moving clip, particularly while talking about his role in the Lockerbie disaster. He comes across as a really sympathetic, genuine man (as he does on his articles on here) and its a great listen.
Its on Out of Doors on Radio Scotland. todays (14th) edition and can be found on the BBC iplayer. The rest of the show is very interesting too, as ever.
