When I transfer photos from my phone to my laptop I've noticed that lots of the data is lost. For instance, a photo stored on my phone may be 10MBs, but when it's on the laptop it might be less than 2MBs. The phone is a Nokia Lumia 1020, which has a really nice camera on it; Zeiss lens, 41 megapixels etc. It seems very pointless to print from the laptop if all that resolution is lost. Is there a way to transfer without that loss of info?

Any help/suggestions would be gratefully received.

How are you transferring them at the moment?

In reply to Mark Sheridan:

The Lumia 1020 stores two copies of every photo. One v.high Res and one lower. Suspect what is happening is you are getting you lower one when copying to your laptop.

Don't have detailed instructions for you to get the higher res, but suggest having a search online
