The month is November, the forecast is damp. With cake in our bellies and a glint in our beards, we try to get to the bottom of what makes bikepacking in the Highlands so moreish.

So many other suggestions that part 2 is looking inevitable. Any other ideas for why we do what we do?

Scotland isn't a country? Come here Huw <SLAP!!!> there, feel much better! Having done that it has to be said that cake is an entire food group so having it for breakfast is good. Try foreign food - stollen is good as well.

Oh and looking forward to part II -

Nice! I always find it amazing for how long you can get wetter, even after you think you are already fully soaked.
