Brilliant if dated, but prefer it to the MTV style of stuff nowadays.

Questions:
Did Dawes ever climb (lead) Parthian Shot? And who were the three eye witnesses said to have seen Dunne's ascent (video commentary)? I thought part of the controversy was no one stepped up to back him up.

Brilliant climber to watch.

Not after a bun fight. (For me, he climbed it).

Agree it was very good though the Big Issue was not best of that era. It came across as a bit of an advertorial at points. Hard Grit has to be the best pure climbing film of all time for my money (even better than Stone Monkey).

I don't believe Johnny Dawes ever did lead Parthian Shot.

Although the fall outs were fun to watch at the time, in hindsight it's a shame because both JD's made some stunning FA's.

I've seen John Dunne climb a few times in the real world and his super smooth footwork is quite something for a big guy. Such a non-fussy climbing style.
