Anybody who has cycled up from Clevelys to Fleetwood, crossed the Wyre on the foot ferry to Knott End and meandered back through the lanes will be concerned to read that Lancashire County Council are considering closing the ferry.

Was one of the first to sign. It's been widely flagged on the Lancashire Cycle Link FB pages. My own club does a circular ride a couple of times a year from Southport to Knott End across the Fylde lanes, then across the ferry and back down the coast to Lytham then back to Preston on the way home.
