Hi everyone,

We are a couple of adults in London willing to try rock climbing course:

-how much is it approximately?

-when is it possible to do it, when do you recommend it?

-it would be a birthday present, could I have a voucher?

Thanks in advance. Have a great day.

Might be an idea to direct these a questions to your local climbing wall, unless you have something a little more specific in mind..

Well worth investing in a beginner's residential course here

It sounds like you might be better to do this instead:

Suffice to say I didn't get what I was offered after long discussions with senior staff, in a conversation which started with me saying "I don't think I am the right person for this course....." (I'd received an email advert). Was assured I'd get the experience I was looking for, lots of lead climbing, they fell well short in delivery on their assurances and when I pointed this out, it got messy.

I was told by people inside the Brenin that it's now "all about the money", that was certainly backed up by my experience.

I was more sad than annoyed, the Brenin was a special place in my mind.

Oh dear. Doesn't sound so good. Thanks for adding a bit more detail.

I recently did the two day "Moving Out" course at PyB and was very happy with it. Two days isn't long, but the cost was appropriate. The instructors were knowledgeable and paced things about right for a group with varied abilities.

Obviously it would be wrong to generalise either way from this, but I thought I'd add a data-point.

As I said, it was my experience, I hope yours is the norm, there'll be a new Director there soon.
