Hi All,
Am about to sent a box of climbing gear and some clothes to my son who has recently moved out to Wellington.
Have crammed it into the smallest box possible and it weighs 8kg.
On searching the web...there seems to be hundreds of carriers..with prices ranging from about £50....to almost worth taking it out myself!!!
Anyone recommend me a carrier they have used that came in at a reasonable price?
Cheers

In reply to astley007:

not sure if this helps, but make sure that you are aware of the restrictions in importing stuff into NZ - would hate for your son to get stuck with duties. I live in NZ, and my lovely parents ship me lots of gear from home (it's so much cheaper than it is here...) and they always 1) take all the tags off if it's new 2) mark all gear as used on the customs form 3) undervalue the items. I've never been dinged with duties yet.
My parents just take the box to the post office.

We children of the world salute you parents who ship us gear!
