Didn't really like them, I'm afraid - the photos look over-processed / unreal to me.

I tend to agree. Oddly I like a couple which look more like paintings, but perhaps that is what the photographer intended.

Nearly didn't bother looking after that comment.........

Didn't think most of them looked over processed. Quite liked them (apart from the couple that looked like paintings), but didn't think they were all that brilliant (UKC 5's but not POTW material)

For once I actually have to disagree with the they "look over-processed" comment. I am usually the one of the first to pass off and rule out images that I feel look too over processed. I usually don't like images that have been over done in post production (there is a time and a place), but I do feel that may be a harsh comment in this instance. I used to do a lot of freelance work and through both that and me out as a hobby I have ended up in a fair few places where my end images look hugely over processed but actually have undergone next to no post processing. And no I am not innocent myself, in the past I have had a fair few images which I have HUGELY over done after the shot, but still certain people have loved them etc.
I do agree that a couple of them are over processed (but then that is red bulls style) but a lot of them I think are honestly genuine and absolutely amazing scenes.
Just as an example of this, here are a few images I have ended up with that look fairly over processed but in all cases have had next to no post processing, sorry for their lack of quality, but they are my work wallpapers as that's all I have access to at the moment.
Sunset over Guernsey a few years ago. I still feel that this looks very false, but other than blacking out a couple of reflections on the rocks in the foreground and stitching the image together I did nothing to it - https://scontent.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xla1/t31.0-8/s2048x2048/11221984_1015...
I think the definition in the flames in this make it look processed, but once again this underwent no post processing other than in camera having a fairly warm white balance - https://scontent.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpf1/t31.0-8/s2048x2048/12068915_1015...

And then to top it off just a bit of proof that I used to be and maybe still am every now and again victim of some severe over processing - https://scontent.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpt1/t31.0-8/q90/s2048x2048/11148558_...

I'd agree with the defence above, they don't all look over-processed. A few do, but quite a few have quite a pleasing naturalistic look that is reminiscent of film. I appreciate some post processing was probably needed to achieve this but straight out of the camera digital images can sometimes be horribly flat so I'd hardly blame the photographer for doing some work.

I like the Punta Bariloche picture, the Aiguille Noire and the Vallee de Francais - all pleasingly soft and organic looking giving a sense of light falling, reflecting and scattering which is what photography is all about...
