I have the opportunity to buy a KHS CX200 for a good price, about $500 second hand in good nick.

It's frame size large, I'm 6" - 6"1? Any ideas if that will be too small? Do you get them the same size as a road bike.

I think the large is about 56cm, the extra large about 58?

Maybe try and find out the Stack and Reach measurements and compare them to a bike that you already own? I did this when buying my last bike and it worked well

You normally go down a bit in frame size from your road bike frame for stability and ease of getting on and off.

At a bit over 180 cm 56cm sounds a bit too small, though. I am a little bit shorter and could just about get away with it, as I have rather short legs and a long upper body. 58cm sounds about right.

Thanks, I went for 57 in the end on another bike. It was 57 or 60. The return policy is good so I'll try it and see. It's only for occasional 2-3 hr rides generally so in the past I've been fine on various bikes.
