A 'hopeful' wonder up to Brown Cove Crags today for a first venture out into the snow. The snow is powder, the turf is unfrozen and there was water running under what ice had formed, ....but its still early and it it was great to be out, and an excuse to take the new camera out for a test.

Jack's rake would have been good clean fun as usual

Sadly, warm, wet weather is on its way, well above zero overnight in the next few days.

Looks like there has been winter conditions, middlefell butress raven crag got a partial ascent with tools at sometime in last month, looks like they got stuck top p2, very scratched rock and rap tat.
Can definitely see the appeal of this type of climbing but not going to leave to much for next-generation

Wish I had seen them at it. What a nightmare. I really can't even see the appeal.

Direct action eh Wes, I'd probably be more BMC re-education camp, long crag appreciation sessions (maybe under Castle Rock)
Happy Christmas John
