I've climbed and abbed off the In Pinn a couple of times, and am now considering doing it with someone who would need to be lowered off. I recall the fixed anchor being set back from the edge - Does this give a problem with the rope rubbing over the edge, do you need to position the belay out from the anchor to reduce the rub?

No. It works fine from the fixed anchor as the edge is fairly rounded.
