Has any body been anywhere in the three valleys in the last week, or better still there now ? I can read any number of snow reports but I general take these with a large side of sodium chloride.

Courchevel and Val Thorens are in reasonable nick considering... though quite a few closed (or should be) runs in Courchevel, higher percentage open in Val T. Meribel Valley is generally pretty thin, Mt Vallon has been closed since last week, having been open the week before Xmas. Higher runs in Val T quite good today - Col Lauzin off the Caron was no rockier than in a normal season...

Lots of webcams - you can see how people are faring and generally deduce both how much snow and the quality
