Let’s jam harder! It’s back… Boulder Jam returns to Beacon Climbing Centre for the New Year, taking place on Friday 15th January 6:30pm-9.30pm for adults and Saturday 16th January 10:00am-1:00pm for Under 16s.

Providing you with the finest ‘bloc-style’ competition problems around constructed with love by some of the UK’s top route setting talent, a £350 cash prize fund for the winners and FREE entry (you just need to pay our standard single entry fee…) Boulder Jam 2 is going to be AWESOME. No advance registration is required… just turn up on the day and jam!

We’ll also be open until midnight on Friday, so after the comp you can kickback in the fully licenced Beacon Café with some chilled out tunes, pizza and a beer while the results come in.

DMM are supporting the event, offering a 3 hour pro climber coaching session with Emma Twyford for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in the under 16s categories. Emma has a degree in Sports Science and Coaching and is one of the most accomplished female climbers currently operating in the UK, having climbed E9, onsighted 8a, redpointed 8b+/c and bouldered Font 7C+. This could be your chance to climb and learn with one of the best British climbers around!

Age categories & climbing schedule.
Age 16+: 6.30pm – 9.30pm. Friday 15th January.
Age 11 & under: 10am – 1pm. Saturday 16th January.
Age 12 – 15: 10am – 1pm. Saturday 16th January.
Separate categories for male and female climbers.

Competition Format.
Self ticking.
10 points for completing a problem within 3 goes.
5 points for completing a problem thereafter.
2 points for a controlled hold of the bonus only.

Entry fees.
FREE to enter but standard single entry fees apply.
Adult £9.00.
Student/Concession £8.00.
Under 18 £6.50.
