We are going skiing around Les Gets area next week and whilst there I wanted to do at least one decent mountaineering route just as a change from skiing. Does anyone have any knowledge of the area?

No help Jack, but I am due to go next year with the family, and will be looking for something to do similar too, so looking forward to reading some replies

In Val d'Isere at the moment and it is snowing heavily and with high winds Avalanche risks are very high.. Also you will be lucky to just wade through anything...I am assuming the snow drought is over in Les Gets too.

It's raining. Scuba gear might be more useful than ice gear today. But having said that the forecast is for falling temps and snow
