Hi all, first post on ukh so apologies if its the usual thats been covered...

Looking for 2 day backpacking ideas in north wales with a nice winter bivi spot.

I've been looking at the Aran ridge, or maybe that with a return option thrown in?

Any ideas appreciated

thanks

There's plenty of choice right through Wales, presumably it would need to be a circular route? Others will suggest plenty of options, but bear in mind the weather has been crap for months, so our current winter weather is wet, wet, wet. Nothing very pleasurable until it changes.

i can only back up how wet the ground is - i've spent about 5 days out of the last two weeks in the Berwyns, Arenigs and Craig Goch area, and it is wet.

wet wet wet.

unless i fancied sleeping on rocks, i reckon there were less than a dozen bivi pitches that were dry enough to avoid drowning between the three of them.

Thanks for the feedback, we'll head up and stay in barns etc if the weather remains as is.

Fingers crossed for some actual winter conditions some time soon!
