Doesn't look very big in those pics; but there are lots of places you can climb from lakes. Most of the places I used to climb at in Finland were above lakes, and there seems to lots around the Great Lakes in North America https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=great+lakes+ice+climbing&safe=strict&...
The ice only really goes as high as the waves splash on the coastal walls. Not really high enough to get a pitch out of really. I bet the ice is super brittle too.
