I am after any recommendations or deals for some hiking boots, budget is £150

Primarily for light use over the next few months but then for a hiking trip to Nepal in December this year, will be doing the Gokyo Ri trail and EBC

Any deals around at the moment?

Would I be better waiting for the summer for cheaper prices?

Try to stick in budget, but go for best fit. Feet are important to your trip so bad fitting boots will give you a bad trek.

£150 is plenty for a good boot suitable for you treks, and there are many to choose from, you don't have to have full leather, but you do need a supportive boot,

Hopefully you have a good shop nearby where you can get fitted and get advice. They should measure your feet. And know where EBC is and what to expect

In reply to cfer:

Lowa Mountain or Combat GTX - exceptional comfort, support and build quality and should be good for wider fitting. Consider a better insole than the one supplied however......

Your profile is out of date then.

"new boots and panties"

<sigh>

Not so much fun when you've explained it.

Depends where in Lancashire..

Whaley warm and dry have a good reputation
Otherwise day trip to Ambleside, some good stores there

Go with an open mind and get fitted for the best boot for your feet. The problem with any recommendations is that they find them good on their feet, that has nothing to do with your feet!
