Bought the above camera a few (many..?) years ago, generally liked it very much - has all the features I need, i.e. a wide angle zoom, smallish, good pics etc. The only thing that I didn't like was its propensity to take in dust all the time, so you would get big spots on the pics and there was not much you do apart from hoover the whole camera. Apart from that, was very happy with it. It's broken now. Goes black all the time. What shall I buy now? What's the best almost up-to-date model. I like a bargain (i.e. doesn't have to be the newest model, maybe the one from last year?) Also, our cameras tend to get a hammering (so that's something to bear in mind)

Thank you. That looks very cheap. Is refurb really a good thing or do I have to put it in the bin in a year's time (...just sounds too good to be true...?) What do you think? The last one lasted about five years...heavy usage bear in mind - with dirt everywhere, small child doing stuff, winter climbing...
