Light stands

Hi
Anyone got suggestions for light, stable and compact stands for using speedlites off camera in the outdoors. I'm using tripods at the moment but don't need the adjustability but most studio stands are no good. What does anyone else use?

Tripods, trees, rocks, hands. Agree studio stands are no use.

Usually a friend holding & pointing it, or attached to the end of a decorator's pole.

I use my Ultrapod now on the few times a conventional tripod isn't required, and it holds my speedlite well enough, particularly tied to the end of a pole or a branch.
