Hello is Ariege owt like a winter rock destination? Got some time beginning of March or should we be flying further south?
Cheers the power

Most of the time at that time of year will be completely fine for climbing, sometimes needing to find shade but mainly warm and nice in the sun. However, there will still be a chance of a late winter storm if you're unlucky, which likely would last only 2 or 3 days but could be quite cold and wet during that time before the sun comes out again for another week.

I've been twice at that sort of time of year. First time was for a week and the 6 climbing days consisted of 1 day glorious sun, 1 day total rain, and every other day was cut short by the sudden deluge. Second time was for an Easter weekend, 4 climbing days of which 1 day glorious sun, 2 days of sleet/rain and 1 day which was fine until it started snowing. I came to the colclusion that either we had jinxed the weather or that slightly later in the spring would be wiser! Shame cos the climbing we did do was rather good.
