Penmaen Head - Flats to be Built Right Above the Routes

So, the local newspaper has shown some details about a property development to be built where the Hotel 70 used to be, which is above flowstone wall etc.

It looks to be a big block of flats, with little to recommend iot in terms of aesthetics and lots of views to block. It might even put a restricition on the climbing (I would have thought during the building process anyway?).

It's just a heads up really if anyone likes using this crag (it's 2 mins away from my house, so I do). There was a form posted on facebook with some architectural pics and a link to register any issues you had to the council, but I can't find it now! I'll keep looking and post it back up here if I do.

Just got into climbing and never climbed down there! But why didn't the gower society put their boot in with this one??? If there were caravans going on the site there would be riots lol

I think you have got your crags mixed up. Peanmean is up north wales near colwyn bay. I think you've got it mixed up with pennard
