Off to South America trekking. Patagonia, Lakes District, Bolivia, Peru. Want to fit some climbs in, any recommendations? Lower/mid grade single or multi pitch.
Thanks for looking

I've climbed at a few different venues in South America, but equally there are lots I haven't visited. Of the venunes I've been to I can recommend Hatunmachay near Huaraz in Peru and Frey/Catedral near Bariloche in Argentina. Both are good at lower to middle grades, Hatunmachay is very laid back and has lots of good single-pitch sport routes. Top favourite though is a place you don't mention - Brazil. Particularly in and around Rio.
Cochamo gets a very good report but I've never been and I think its mainly bigger and more difficult routes.

At frey there is little below E1, fyi. Incredible venue, definitely near the top of the list especially if you are walking as it is a popular area for that too.

Valle Encantado near Bariloche is apparently excellent.

Piedra Parada on the way from south argentinian pata to bariloche (if that's the direction you're going?) is fantastic

Bolivia has loads but I haven't been

Hatun Machay is unique and Huaraz itself is a base for fantastic walking

Loads in Chile too

Are you taking climbing gear? When are you going? How long for?
