Ive had mine for a while now. Bombproof, simple and swallows absolutely loads of kit. Though my friends have asked about it, I've never found a problem with not having a top flap.
In mine I can fit some thing like: two half ropes, full rack, harness, couple of pairs of shoes, helmet, water bottle, lunch, warm layers and other random stuff and carry it all comfortably (that's not I including strapping stuff to the outside).
The little crag sack that comes with it actually proves somewhat useful in organising things too.
Would recommend.
