So for various reasons it looks like I will be near Milan with a free weekend in mid March.
It would be nice to get out into the mountains if possible, after a bit of internet research it seems that there are some Via Verrata's near Lecco.
Gamma One (VF3C)
Now this is where I run out of ideas all the climate/ weather info I can find is for lake Como, does anybody know what the conditions will be like at the tops of the mountains? ie will this be possible at that time of the year WITHOUT ice tools, or do I need to reduce my expectations.
Also any info for accommodation/other fun things to do in the area would be gratefully received.
Thanks in advance
Mike
