Mosquito repellant advice

Hello All

I've googled by there is a raft of information out there and I'm looking for some specifics.

Off to South America April. Not really in the Zika virus zone and not going to be wading through jungle, though some fjord kayaking will be getting done, but still want to take every precaution possible.

I'm looking for a 12 or 24 hour insect repellent. Not fussed on price too much. Does such a thing exist and can anyone recommend a brand please?

Get a headnet and bednet

Soak in pyrethroid insecticide (permethrin, cypermethrin, lamda-cyhalothrin or similar).

Use the highest % DEET you can find (if you know a chemist, it's not hard to make pure, but it's quite oily).
