planning on a Chamonix climbing trip this summer, but just wondering how easy it is to find partners once i'm out there?

Ask around any of the campsites or pubs in Chamonix/ Argentiere and/or a popular hut (Albert 1er) and you're bound to find someone, but there isn't an informal 'waiting list' type system going on as far as I know. The place is full of climbers, so all you have to do is be sociable and ask.

There's a couple of Facebook groups for Chamonix climbers, you can usually find a few like-minded souls on them.

In the Office d'Haute Montagne in Chamonix (across from the tourist information), there's a message book. Found that pretty useful for finding partners for alpine routes and valley cragging, they also have conditions info, guidebooks and photocopying facilities.
