Can anyone suggest a crag near Sheffield with a good selection of multi-pitch routes? I'm hoping for routes of >50m, so probably not Stanage.

Thanks very much for your help guys,

Climbing in Ravensdale is very pleasant with some routes around that length, also Wildcat Tor.....not sure if you call those close to Sheffield. Stoney will have some routes close to that length too.

Wildcat has routes up to approx 45m in all grades.
Some routes at stoney are this long, but the first pitches tend to be poor, eg compositae groove, mortuary steps etc.
Beeston tor.
Good luck and enjoy the routes.

You will need to look at the 'Slimestone' for proper multi pitch (Willersley, High Tor, Beeston Tor etc). There are some multi-pitch routes on the Grit, both Valkyries, Two Pitch route etc but they are only because of rope drag etc.

High tor near matlock is a classic crag. The only grit crag with multi pitch is really hen cloud (bird bans?). Ravensdale may also be bird banned?

Cratcliffe and some Moorland routes excepted

Anyway at this time of year the answer is likely to be Beeston I'd have thought.
