I'm guessing not from the webcams I've looked at - but does anyone know whether there is any snow on the higher peaks of Arran? Just working out which hiking kit to pack for this weekend (and hoping for an improvement in the forecast...).

There was none last Sat and no snow since - plenty of rain forecast for next day or so though

haven't been on the hills but ive been working over there most of this week and from the road the hills look very bare now. there was some good snow cover for the past few weeks but it looks like its been washed away now.
its been raining here tonight and is very mild so I wouldn't be packing any crampons or axes.
still there's no midges yet.
