I'd like to tidy up my house ready for selling by laying a new surface on top the existing concrete and Tarmac path. Ideally I'd like to use resin bound or resin bonded gravel but there are cracks and drops of more than 10mm also, more importantly, it's very expensive. Has anyone any good ideas for a hard path that looks better than Tarmac but cheaper than resin bonded (or the same price but doesn't require the same quality of surface to go on)?

Any idea how much per sq meter that is?

Is there a maximum height (ie thickness of new finish) you have to keep below?

I spoke to one of our landscape architects in here. Her response is as follows:

"Coloured tarmac? Cheaper than resin and now comes in some natural looking colours

Would try these guys – they are local, helpful and you could find out how much the resin is before ruling it out? Or they might have some other ideas…

Hope this is of some help.
