For the first time ever, India has an opportunity to host the "IFSC Climbing World Cup" in May 2016.
IFSC (International Federation of Sport Climbing) is a member of ARISF, SportAccord, IWGA, and recognized by the IOC).
This has been made possible by the efforts of local climbing communities. India does not have an internationally credited competition wall and needs to import the wall in the next few days. Funds for this is required urgently. "Climbing Beyond Borders" is a campaign to show our friends in India that the international community cares.
The "Climbing World Cup" in India is a great milestone for the sport. This platform has the potential to inspire millions of Indians, girls and boys, young and old who will be watching. It will give Indian climbers a chance to compete with the best athletes in the world. It also opens up the potential to develop the numerous outdoor sites which India has to offer, where people from all over the world can come and enjoy climbing.
