When
The BMC are supporting a weekend of mountain medicine and First Aid workshops in Hathersage on 4th and 5th June 2016.

What's happening?
Organised by Dr David Hillebrandt, president of the UIAA Medical Commission and honorary medical advisor to the BMC, this one-off event will provide the opportunity to receive first aid training from experts in the field of mountain medicine. There will be 30 experienced doctors and paramedics who hold the Diploma of Mountain Medicine putting their skills and knowledge at your disposal in a series of workshops designed for non-medical people. With an hour dedicated to each workshop there will be time to discuss topics in depth and tailor each workshop to the needs of those attending.

Who is it for?
This course is suitable for anybody with an interest in the outdoors (climbers, hill walkers, mountain bikers, mountaineers). If you're a member of BMG, AMI or MTA there are CPD points available (1 CPD point per day attended). No specific level of experience or previous knowledge is required.

Social scene
On Saturday evening there will be a barbeque in the Outside car park (free to all course attendees), and a fundraising lecture (speaker tbc) in the Outside cafe in aid of the International Porter Protection Group (IPPG) / Community Action Nepal (CAN) (entry by donation).
