Planning on giving TR a go tomorrow-Thursday.
Bit concerned about snow being a bit soft, although forecast to be cold tonight.
Anyone been up there last couple of days-or advise from local sages ?
Thanks in advance
Bob

Hi Bob,

I was guiding on it yesterday, and it was covered in quite unconsolidated soft snow, which made breaking trail all the way hard work, but doable. A number of teams followed, and it looks like a few more folk have been up it today, so there was a good track all the way this afternoon. It's raining at sea level now, so putting new snow down higher up, so some of the tracks may become buried.

Starting slightly later will probably mean that someone else has done the hard work and broken trail.

Will post some pictures on my blog later.

Have fun!

Many thanks Ken
Got it done yesterday - along with at least 4 other parties.Snow a bit soft in places - and probably a bit more mixed than usual - but still a brilliant day out.
Regards
Bob

Glad that you enjoyed it, we were on the other side of Observatory Gully, on Indicator Wall, so may well have seen you during the clearer spells.

Certainly plenty of parties out getting stuff done on Thursday.
