Two of us will be in Chamonix this weekend, ostensibly on a ski trip but thought we might take climbing gear as well and try and get a trip out.
We were looking at something like the Burnier-Vogler gully

Does anyone know what conditions are like at present and is it worth bringing climbing gear? Also will Scottish winter gear in terms of things like boots be warm enough at this time of year?
Any other suggestions gratefully received, climb at about IV in Scotland.
