Yes, I'd noticed that but decided that it was probably just my own computer ineptitude and so would have to live with it......

From my quite recent memory of designing websites those are such basic pieces of PHP code.

It only affects how times are displayed using the PHP date/time functions. The times saved in the database for the forum posts are saved in Unix time so didn't need updating.

Aren't we saying the same thing: that if the code is correct to start with it shouldn't need updating? Sorry your server messed you up.
