Anyone been near these since new snow and allegedly colder weather?
Cheers

I did a fell race today that went over high street & helvellyn, and it was definitely warmer than MWIS suggested it would be, with the remaining snow soft & melting in the sun. If you're expecting winter climbing anywhere in the lakes, I'm afraid you'll be disappointed.

Climbing in t shirts in warm sunshine in Langdale today hardly any snow visible at all I would of said winter was well and truly over and summer was here. But then clouds rolled in and temps dropped rapidly at about 6 then it started to rain. Temps dropped from10 to 3 on the way home and even turned to snowy sleet in Kendal. Kirkstone pass now has a fair bit of snow on it and the fells are looking white again down to low levels. Warm day tomorrow will be all gone by the end of the day. Not a chance for winter climbing but very interesting weather pattern for the time of year.
