Me and a mate are heading out to Chamonix on 4th August this year to help with a gold D of E for a couple of weeks through work and we are planning on staying out there seeing as though we have a whole gap year each. We want to do some trad in Cham for a few weeks after and then go to Verdon Gorge for some sport. Has anyone got any suggestions of other places in Europe and how to get around, were flying to cham and planning on flying back from somewhere, (interrail in between??).

If you want to get proper fit, do it all by bike.

Czech sandstone. You can enjoy pure traditional climbing and very good beer. It´s easy to get to Prague, I guess and it´s two or three hours by train or bus to almost all perfect areas.
