Hello,

I'm planning on heading up to the Lake District later this year. I've bought a Rab Baltoro Alpine and a North Face Sumit Series of a friend but they seem very waterproof. What's the best way of breathing some new life into these thing? Is there any hope. I've seen Wash in products, are they effective? How long do they last?

Try tech-wash and then txdirect treatment from nikwax. The rab event material should ideally be washed in detergent first before rinsing well and washing in tech-wash. I find the spray on tx direct works better than the wash-in stuf: the garments seem be maintain breathability better.
