I wrote the guide, Trish and can't recognise it! Can you recall anything you did nearby? Or do you have another pic showing more of the crag? I think you're possibly left of Cairn Crack which is a pretty obvious E1 feature.

Hi Lankyman

I'll dig out more pictures tonight.
We didn't do anything else on that section because we couldn't figure out where the climbs were.
There was a nice looking corner crack to the left of the chimney.
When I was at the top of it I could see the Cairn directly behind me on the tops. It was the far right end as you face the crag.

Cheers

Trish

Unlikely given the good going-over Barry Clarke, Tom Walkington, Uncle John Cobbley-and-all gave the crag years ago. From your new pic I'm thinking you were further left than Django (which is just RIGHT of Cairn Crack, a super-obvious thin crack up a glaringly-obvious flat wall). Using both pics and the 2005 YMC guide I'd say you were on the 'Cricketer's Buttress' area and climbed LBW (8m S) ,number 171 in the guide, first climbed back in 2001.

Brill thanks for that Lankyman. We were wondering if we were far enough around for Cairn Buttress.

I'd give it a name like Cracky McFlakeface.
