Hi,

I'm staying near to Balestrand in Norway at the moment and am looking to find some rock climbing/mountaineering/alpine climbing! Anyone know if any good peaks or routes nearby? Thanks in advance for any info!

Look at ut.no, norgeskart.no. You could go to the E39, drive a bit N to Byrkjelo and have a look at Eggjenibba .

Ut.no should have stuff local to you. How long are you staying?

In Kvam just north of Sogndal you can find a climbing area with lots of routes (2-300). You'll find info on the web (in norwegian) like this http://folk.uib.no/phpbs/skk/forer/kvam/ruter.html
I don't think there is a guide book available for the area.

For mountaineering I would go to Hurrungane, but then you probably need skis.

In reply to GirlieEyes: yes, I'm adding that as a proviso that right now there is a ton of old snow so eggjenibba would be tough going.
